I began my architectural practice in 1969 in Fairfax County, Virginia. Since then I have designed residential and other types of architectural projects in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New York, New Mexico, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington.
In 2000, my practice transitioned into the Robert Wilson Mobley Partnership when Matthew Arnold, AIA and Andrew Caldwell, AIA, both long-time associates, became partners. In 2005, I sold my remaining partnership interest and became a consultant to the Partnership. In 2007 I began offering architectural services to new clients seeking design solutions for new homes and transformations under the name Robert Wilson Mobley, AIA.
